Greetings Techites!

Welcome to the McKinley Tech High School Class Of 1969 web site. Calling on all graduates of the Class of 1969 and friends alike to unite and register so we can build a site that our class members can visit, network and remember and relive our high school years!  Everyone is welcome to participate.  Start a forum; look for an old classmate; share a memory; share pictures; videos; souvenirs from the old school days.  This is for everyone's use and the more you add, the better it will be.  This is a work in progress and all suggestions are welcome.  Check back when you can for updated content.

ALL TECHITE WORSHIP SERVICE BAND AT ST. PHILLIPS BAPTIST CHURCH!!!

Calling all Techites, Rev. Dr. Andre Owens (former McKinley Tech Band Director) is seeking all former McKinley Tech Band members who performed in the Tech Band from 1965 to participate in the "All Techite Worship Service Band" at St. Phillips Baptist Church during the upcoming 12th Annual All Techite Worship Service.

Mr. Owens expressed with an emotional and spiritual called for former McKinley Tech Choir and Band members during the 11th Annual All Techite Worship Service, to gather at his church to remember the history of the Music Department as the first public high school in Washington, DC (i.e., before Duke Ellington HS) to establish a "Music Major" program serving the DC Public School System and communities of Washington, DC. Let's keep the history a live in the McKinley Tech Way.

Contact Paul Washington at 301-464-5127 or by email to: washington.paul@gmail.com with your interest in performing at the 12th Annual All Techite Worship Service on the 2nd Sunday in August 2012. Please provide your instrument and availablity for rehearsal. We have one year to get it together.

the 40th was the 1st reunion function that i have been able to attend. it was great but i did not get to see or speak with several people who say they were there.

work schedule and another commitment prevented me from coming back for the all-class but i've heard a buzz about the possibility of a birthday party for the "gonna be 60 year olds." i vote yes [if i had a vote to cast (^8 ]. i think it would be a blast!
